I. Pertinent info about the Eye aka How it will affect YOU:
Pegasus is in possession of a powerful ancient Egyptian artifact known as the Millennium Eye, or "Sennen Eye". It is capable of Dark Magic, granting the wielder the ability to see into the mind, as well as take possession of the soul and trap it in whatever means the wielder wishes—in Pegasus' case within a "Soul Prison" trap card, given card games are his trademark. However, it can also induce Supernatural Punishments, such as Penalty Games.
>In regards to Soul-taking: Once a person's soul is taken from their body it is like an empty shell but still capable of movement and mechanical actions, such as breathing and sleeping. If ordered to do something via Pegasus' wishes, the soulless body will comply as his "puppet".
>In regards to Mind-reading: Surface thoughts are shown to be most readily available to him, but he can assess some details, names, and even history if he delves deep enough. There's also the possibility of telepathy and receiving telepathic thoughts.
This is a doozy because I understand there are certain secrets and motivations certain characters do not want to be revealed. Chances are though that he'll mainly glance through minds for pertinent information. Unless you interest him enough or seem to be deceiving him, he won't rely on this tactic.
>In regards to influencing others: The Eye has shown to be used for a number of purposes, including planting ideas into a person's mind (subliminal messages); taking control of their body (this has only been shown via the manga, where Pegasus inflicts a penalty game on Bandit Keith for cheating/trying to assault him, where he forces Bandit Keith to shoot himself in the head).
>Inducing Supernatural Punishment: The Eye is a Dark Force, cursed with the dark magics of ancient Egypt to bring misfortune and make the wielder hunger for dark powers. Unfortunately, this means that Supernaturnal Punishments are to be expected. The nature of these punishments are largely up to the wielder, but they often involve gruesome things, or a trip to a place of eternal suffering known as the "Shadow Realm" or the "Dark Realm of Death". However, this is usually only used on those who are the loser of a Shadow Game.
Pegasus will only use this in an extreme situation, or if he is threatened and/or made extremely angry. Overuse of this can weaken him, however, especially from inducing Dark Games, as it requires a very strong darkness in the soul and high spiritual energy. Over time this can wear down the individual the longer they use it.
II. Obvious Questions?
1. Can his mind-reading be resisted? Yes and no. In Yugioh!verse there aren't many who can fortify defenses against it unless they possess a powerful enough Millennium Item themselves. But it would appear the Eye can be thwarted by having two souls share the same body (in the case of Yugi) and them constantly shifting back and forth. (Of course, if you wish to opt out just say so! I'll make him find a reason not to mind-read your character.)
A. But, to be fair, in terms of Psychics…If they have a strong enough block? Certainly, Pegasus wouldn't be able to read much more than surface thoughts, if at all. (I'll try to keep this fairly realistic too, and tell me if something isn't okay! Obviously I doubt he'd be able to read the minds of gods or ultra-extremely-powerful characters.)
B. If they're well-trained in mind-reading defenses? Yes, I'll definitely work with you on that.
2. I really don't want him to be able to mind-read my character: Well, we can work something out.~ I'm friendly! And you can tell me no ;3

Series: Tekken
History: Lee is the adopted son of Heihachi Mishima, adopted brother to Kazuya Mishima, and adopted grandson to Jinpachi Mishima. He secretly thanks Heihachi for his wonderful life after his parents died. His humble upbringing is something that he never discusses openly. Even though everyone knows that Lee is adopted, what they don't know is the abuse and neglect Lee suffered and the abuse he witnessed of Kazuya.
Lee, even though he may outwardly say he hates the Mishima, inside he only loves one and that's Kazuya. While they were growing up, Lee taking on the academic ventures for power while Kazuya took on the physical, they became rivals. Lee's mind for the sciences and society made the brothers opposites.
Heihachi often neglected Lee, throwing money at his problems instead of fixing them or helping him through them, Lee grew up believing that money is the key to ruling the world through his father's megalomaniac beliefs. Instead, this made Lee soft while he neglected his religious practices in order to understand what the real power really is.
Little is known of Lee's birth family other than he remembers Buddha. The abuse, pain and torment Lee suffered in his years since his parent's death has pretty much conditioned away sentimentality and ideology. Bringing up his birth family will bring out a very sore Lee since he knows he hasn't been searching his past to find himself. Instead, he became immersed in the sciences and knows how to work a system to his favor.
The issue with gods and the supernatural did change something within Lee that forced him to believe that the gods are real and not some gimmick for control was his confrontation with Ogre, or Toshin. The Toshin found Lee and without wanting to die at the hands of this creature, Lee managed to escape. The knowledge he gained from the attack was just enough to spark Lee's interest back into the supernatural again. Mostly he thinks it's just freaky circumstance.
With the issues of the Mishima, there is also jealousy. Lee has learned to let go of it, but there is still that twinge that pulls him back. But first, I need to touch on Lee's exile from the Mishima Conglomerate (a.k.a Zaibatsu) as well as the family itself.
After Lee betrayed Heihachi and chose to fight with Kazuya to overthrow their father, Heihachi exiled Lee for his deception. Lee fled to the Bahamas and led a secluded life. With the fortune that he had left, he started investing in various corporations which included G-Corporation.
While Lee decided to stay out of fighting all together and waged his own war in the department of finance and technology, Lee had the upper hand while remaining invisible. As the years had gone by, his fortune had grown considerably which allowed Lee to create his own robotics corporation.
The secrets Lee has are many. One of them is he knows the identity of Steve Fox's biological father. Another is he has data on just about everyone that has participated in the tournaments since the first one. DNA, blood types, family history, anything that he could find he has it.
Playing dumb is something that Lee is very good at when it comes to anyone discovering a little something that he might possess. Lee also likes to play the neutral one to get this valuable information. Whether it's from conversation or by physical data, Lee likes to have his fingers in the jar, so to speak.
Thoughts: Lee's upper thoughts are generally pretty perverted. Other times, when he's actually focused, he thinks about sex at least 6 times a day. Of course that could be from the fact that he just happens to like it a lot. Fighting, surprisingly, isn't top on his list of things to think about. Working out does, and women, lots of women. Then there's the luxury lifestyle, the jet-set life, when he's got a moment, he'll think it.
He's also a big project dreamer. In canon, he rebuilt a city in Brazil just because he wanted to see if he could do it.
Stipulations/Details: Lee's an open book most of the time. If he doesn't think he's under any threat, anything could come to his mind including revenge. He'll say things internally before he'll say them out loud in times of stress. So, in essence, there really isn't a stipulation unless Pegasus tells him he can read thoughts or if he finds out he can.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? Not really but for kicks if Lee finds out he can, he might just to see what it's like, being the scientist that he is. He might just try to recreate the effect.
Anything else? Not really.

Series: Yu-Gi-Oh!, so she knows of Pegasus, but she's mainly from the "Duelist of the Roses" game.
History: Way, way too long for putting here, so have a link.
Thoughts: Eleanor's surface thoughts are mostly... well, average. It really depends on what the situation is, but as a whole, she generally thinks about what you'd expect someone to think of -- food if they're hungry, thoughts about the person, such like that. Also she's English, so things about England or missing home or something from it are fair game. I usually put surface thoughts into brackets, but you can always PM me if you're curious.
What will be especially noticeable is when she's dealing with the actual Yu-Gi-Oh! cast. Because Duelist of the Roses uses ancestors of almost the entire Duelist Kingdom cast, her thoughts will be mentally "calling" them by the names of the people she knew from England for a good while -- Pegasus, for instance, will register as Thomas Stanley, who she was not all that fond of at all (he might be able to scrape up a memory of a... not all that gentlemanly game/fight between them).
Stipulations/Details: Nothing at all. He is allowed to see everything, especially the fact that she does, in fact, have a crush on Rosenkreuz, she's just too tsundere to admit it. Eleanor has no blocks whatsoever, and won't develop them until well after meeting Pegasus (at which case I'll edit this if it becomes necessary).
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? I'd rather not, and I honestly can't see a reason why Pegasus might do it myself -- Eleanor's not exactly short of the "shonen hero" type, after all.
Anything else? Above all else, if you're ever curious, feel absolutely free to contact me. I'd much rather hear from you than not if you have even the slightest question about it!

Series: Duelists of the Roses
History: He was the leader of the Rose Crusaders, a fearsome group of duelists that fought for the house of York in the War of the Roses. However, he never actually cared about making Richard King, and was actually using the whole thing to summon an ancient Card Guardian to put under his control and bring his family eternal glory and prosperity. He manipulated the Rose Duelists (one for each side, in this AU) to this end, but the energy from their duel instead summoned Manawyddan Fab Llyr, a very angry demon. After an intense duel to banish it, he used his powers to send the Duelists home... or to the campus as it were.
Also, he can learn stuff about Thomas Stanley, Pegasus's Duelist of the Roses counterpart! Fun stuff, like how he was Yugi's stepdad and married to Mai. And used Toon monsters even though television was not invented back then. But seriously, Lord Stanley also paid a big part in the Battle of Bosworth, aka the decisive battle of the war. He ended up turncoating to help the Lancastrians.
Thoughts: I usually add this kind of thing to my tags, if not direct thoughts then the feeling at least. Anything there is fair game.
Stipulations/Details: Go nuts, idc
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? ... Not particularly, but I wouldn't say no to a good enough idea.
Anything else? hi c:

Series: Duelist of the Roses AU
History: He's from the same AU as Harriet, Rosenkreuz, and Eleanor, so the changes apply to him the same (such as the fact that he doesn't go by Yugi, because an Englishman with a Japanese name is silly.)
Thoughts: I tend to put them in brackets, but pretty much any calm, kingly thoughts are fair game.
Stipulations/Details: Go right ahead and read whatever you want, but be aware that Henry does have some defenses against mind-reading. With Duel Monsters being real, a prince has to have some walls, though Pegasus can likely break through them with some effort.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? Please don't. Though a good plot might change my mind.
Anything else? Nope~

Series: even more Duelist of the Roses cast!
History: Link! (it's the same as Eleanor's)
Notably DotR Pegasus was sort of Harriet's mentor/partner in castle-storming for a while (and he was usually a big pain in the ass, although he did protect her once when DotR Mai tried to incapacitate her with poison-perfumed flowers.) It's also worth another mention that, in our version of DotR, the Deck Leader was the actual duelist channeling a semi-monster form, and direct hits could be fatal - they were fighting a war after all. Harriet was ruthless in battle and went after the duelist whenever the opportunity presented itself. So y'know. If he'd be pinged by "This person has killed before", there's that.
Thoughts: Same as Rosenkreuz (hi again), if there was anything it'd probably be in the tag. Honestly I doubt he would even need to use it on Harriet though, she's incredibly straightforward. Although, like the rest of the DotR cast, she'll have a hard time not thinking of him as Thomas Stanley.
If he did choose to use it on her while around other Yu-Gi-Oh characters, he may detect some complex feelings. While acting as the Yorkist Duelist, the Lancastrians tended to make duels personal over how Harriet alone betrayed their prince's trust. So the whole time she treated them in kind, as hated enemies - she has a very hard time reconciling this with the actual Henry's kindness and understanding toward her now that the war is over. She'll treat them the same way she treats everyone else, but internally she's ... awkward around Yugis, and a note of bitterness (and sometimes guilt) toward most incarnations of his friends.
Stipulations/Details: Still nothing that I can think of! He's free to notice anything mentioned.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? You know... for some reason I'm more open to it with Harriet. The mental image amuses me in a way I can't quite put my finger on.
Anything else? I realize that canon OCs are somewhat of a tenuous thing, so feel free to ask me whatever you like! Even if it's "Please don't tag me" or something.

Series: The Vampire Chronicles
History: Way too long to be gone into here. Have a link to his biography.
Thoughts: Armand is both very selfish and very pragmatic, so his surface thoughts are mostly going to revolve around finding the most practical means to get what he needs/wants. There'll also be a lot of frustration in there, since he's used to being able to go globetrotting at will.
More private thoughts would include anything more than the names of his coven members, and the fact that he's been through this before, since I'm bringing him in with memories of his last game intact.
Stipulations/Details: He has defenses against mind-reading and will lash out in kind if he thinks he's under attack. Buuut, provided Pegasus can get around that, pretty much anything that would be floating around in his surface thoughts is fair game.
I'd rather he didn't get to see in any level of detail Armand's memories of his coven, or the sordid details of his history, but other than that, no restrictions.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? If he and Pegasus get to be not-enemies, he might be interested as sort of controlled exercise in seeing if he even still has one.

Series: Heralds of Valdemar/The Last Herald-Mage
History: Vanyel is the eldest son of the Lord Holder of Forst Reach, and was expected to inherit from his father, marry well, and have lots of heirs of his own. However, he was a disappointment to his father from the start, being more interested in fashion and music than in fighting, and finally, when Vanyel was fifteen or sixteen, his father sent him to Haven, capital city of Valdemar, to stay with his aunt, Herald-Mage Savil, in the hopes that she could "make a man out of him." There, Vanyel met and fell in love with his aunt's apprentice, Tylendel Frelennye, and it quickly became apparent they were lifebonded.
This was Vanyel's first love, and that, coupled with insecurities bred from a lifetime of being considered 'not good enough' meant he let Tylendel run roughshod over him more often than not. As summer drew to a close, Tylendel's twin, Staven, with whom he shared a very strong psychic link, was murdered by a member of the Leshara family, which sent Tylendel off on a psychotic break. He became obsessed with avenging his brother's murder, and Vanyel, unable to tell his lover no, became his accomplice. Finally on Sovvan Night, Tylendel, a mage in training, opened a Gate and used Vanyel's energy as a potential mage to ground the spell. They crossed through the gate onto Leshara lands, and Tylendel unleashed a pack of changebeasts which slaughtered every Leshara present.
Unbeknownst to them, Tylendel's Companion, Gala, had followed them through the Gate, and she repudiated Tylendel before moving to intercept the beasts. She died fighting them, but bought enough time for Savil and a few other Heralds to drag the two boys back through the Gate and close it - however, they didn't know it had been grounded with Vanyel's energies, so the backlash from shutting it blasted his mind open, abruptly changing what had been potential into fully fledged gifts. While the Heralds were preoccupied tending to Vanyel, Tylendel slipped away from them, and, before anyone could stop him, threw himself off the nearby bell tower to his death. That same night, Vanyel was Chosen by a Companion named Yfandes, and his aunt took him on as an apprentice Herald-Mage. He trained with his aunt and her Hawkbrother friends, Starwind and Moondance K'treva, and returned to Valdemar proper at some point between the ages of eighteen and twenty as a full-fledged Herald, where, much to his chagrin, he quickly became a popular subject for Bards' ballads and an object of hero-worship for the people of Valdemar.
At some point along the way, he made friends with both Herald Randale, grandson of the queen, and his lifebonded, a Healer named Shavri. A close enough friend, in fact, that when it became clear Randale was sterile and Shavri's desperation to have a child might just tear her apart, he was the one they chose as a surrogate. His relationships with his family were still fraught, and didn't even start to be mended until he was around twenty-eight, when a routine visit home turned into a politcal shitstorm - the entire Linean ruling family were killed in a single night, along with every servant in the palace. The crime was pinned on the disinherited and supposed bastard son Prince Tashir, who was Chosen as a Herald in the same night, complicating matters further.
Vanyel successfully solved the case with help from Savil, Tashir himself, and the Forst Reach armsmaster, Jervis - even if he did nearly die in the process, between draining his magic/energy reserves almost to nothing and then taking a knife to the gut from a priest who'd been planted by the real culprits, the Mavelan family of Baires.
After that, he started to spend more and more time posted in and around Haven and less out in the field as Randale's health slowly deteriorated, his sterility having been merely a symptom of worse things to come...
Thoughts: His surface thoughts are pretty typical stuff, thinking about food when he's hungry, etc - however, he's also going to be worrying about the situation back home and plotting ways to get everybody stuck in this place back to their own worlds.
Personal things are not going to be on the surface to be easily read, so while Pegasus could get names from his surface thoughts, there wouldn't be a lot of detail to accompany them right up there in the open.
Stipulations/Details: Like Armand, Vanyel has defenses against mind-reading and the ability to lash back in kind; but his mind is a lot more vulnerable; he doesn't usually keep it as tightly shielded as he could, just enough to avoid actively overhearing everyone else's thoughts, so Pegasus probably could get around it, possibly even bust in.
Most things in Van's mind are fair game - especially, if this sort of thing would ping Pegasus at all, the fact that he's a soldier and has killed before. BUT that is probably his least favorite part of the job, so bringing it up is not going to endear Van to him. I'd also like him not to be able to get at a lot of the more painful personal stuff - things concerning Van's father and Tylendel.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? Not particularly, no.
Anything else? I know 'Valdemaran' terminology can be strange and confusing if you're not familiar with the books, so if you have questions about anything in Van's backstory there, or anything that comes out of his mouth in the future, don't hesitate to ask!

Series: Bizenghast
History: Dinah's life was perfectly normal until she was eight, when her parents died in a car crash and she was sent to live with her Aunt Jane in a run-down old house in Bizenghast, a decrepit Massachusetts mill town. Their new house was very old, and had served as the main building (the outbuildings having been burned down years ago) of a sanitarium, then later of a school for delinquent boys. It turned out that some of the former residents, though dead, were not as gone as previously thought, and they focused all their attention on Dinah, the only one in the house who could see them. Her aunt became concerned by what she saw as 'fits' of some sort, accompanied by cuts and bruises that were apparently self-inflicted, but which had really been inflicted by the ghosts that tormented Dinah.
This went on until Dinah was fifteen and her current therapist, Dr. Morstan, was pushing for Aunt Jane to have her committed. One night, Dinah snuck out with her best and only friend, Vincent, and they stumbled upon the mysterious 'Lost Graveyard' of Bizenghast. While exploring, Dinah accidentally signed a contract which made her a human agent of the Sunken Mausoleum (the real name of the 'lost graveyard'). They were then informed that if Dinah refused to return to the Mausoleum each night and free the restless souls sleeping in its vaults, her life would be forfeit.
Though at first it caused frequent fights between them, in the end Dinah's work with the Mausoleum helped her improve her relationship with her aunt - she was gaining self-confidence with each spirit successfully sent on, and after the spirits in the vaults, the ones haunting her home no longer seemed quite so scary. Then, out of the blue, tragedy struck - Vincent was killed in the line of duty, and it seemed all the Mausoleum's positive work on Dinah would be undone. Her grief allowed her to fall prey to the wily spirits she was meant to send on, so consistently that at last the Mausoleum itself staged an intervention, telling her, "You can't dwell forever. You must carry on for your own sake and not live in the past. Wallowing in self-pity is not the way to live. You're stronger than that. You're worth more than that." And Dinah did her best to take those words to heart.
Things came to a head again when, the night she was to meet the third Tower Guard, Eniri, instead, she, Edaniel, and Edrear found Eniri missing, and the fourth Guard, Elala, dead. It was quickly discovered that the "seed" that allowed the Mausoleum to keep in contact with the afterlife had been stolen, and it looked more and more like Eniri was the culprit. Racing back to town, the three found Eniri under the thrall of the spirit Maphohetka, one of the most powerful and most dangerous in the vaults, an Unspeakable who'd broken free from her confinement and intended to take over the town. Dinah led the charge, backed by Edaniel, Edrear, and all the spirits she'd freed during her work with the Mausoleum, and she kept fighting even when Maphohetka's powers turned her allies into enemies, until she was the last one standing - because she knew that if she didn't stop Maphohetka, there was no one left who could. So she fought the spirit one on one, defeated her, and sacrificed her own life to undo all the damage Hetka had wrought.
But the Mausoleum was still missing two Tower Guards, so Dinah became one, along with Vincent - who, it turned out, had been lingering in and around Bizenghast, unable to move on.
Thoughts: In addition to the typical thoughts about the current situation/person, there's probably a fair bit floating around about Bizenghast and the Mausoleum.
Stipulations/Details: None for this one, Dinah's mind is pretty much an open book - albeit a very, very weird one.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? Seeing as she's a ghost already, I'm not sure that would even be possible?
Anything else? If you need me to clarify anything about Dinah's backstory/how the Mausoleum works, just let me know!

Series: Yu-Gi-Oh! Season 0 (Manga)
History: He's just after Chapter 24.
Thoughts: Yugi is Yugi. That's really all there is to say. He's usually got pretty innocent or nice thoughts, though being 15, there are the occasional perverted ones. The only real difference is that this Yugi is a lot more timid and unsure than the Yugi Pegasus knows.
Dark Yugi is a lot more dark (hur hur), and his thoughts would be... well, not that friendly. He's generally a judge and would mostly keep his thoughts about the game and the moves he'd make. Occasional thoughts about the person themselves, otherwise...
Also, he genuinely thinks he IS Yugi, so there's that.
Stipulations/Details: Yugi is an open book, Dark Yugi is still readable but his mind is a lot more shadowed than Yugi. Still very possible to read, but don't expect to come out of it feeling warm or anything.
Would you be interested in having your soul stolen at any point in time? I'd rather not, if just because... we don't need Dark Yugi going nutso, hahahaha.
Anything else? Nothing I can think of!
